Alamut Castle named UNESCO World Heritage site

Iran’s Alamut Castle and related fortifications have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, becoming the country’s 30th tangible cultural heritage site to receive the international designation.

The decision was made during the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in Busan, South Korea.

Íránský hrad Alamut a související opevnění byly zapsány na seznam světového dědictví UNESCO a staly se tak 30. lokalitou hmotného kulturního dědictví země, která získala toto mezinárodní označení.

Rozhodnutí bylo učiněno během 48. zasedání Výboru pro světové dědictví UNESCO, které se v současné době koná v jihokorejském Pusanu.
