Dnes večer je v Íránu a některých sousedních zemích noc Jalda neboli Čele.

„Jaldā/Čela“ je starobylá oslava, při níž se cení záře slunce a teplo života. Tato událost se shoduje s prodlužováním délky dne v regionu.

Při příležitosti poslední podzimní noci se rodiny scházejí. Toto rodinné setkání se často koná v domech starších, kde se lidé setkávají kolem stolu zvaného „Noční sofra Jaldā/Čela“.

Tonight is Yalda or Cheleh night in Iran and some of our neighboring countries.

“Yaldā/Chella” is an ancient celebration whereby the brilliance of the sun along with the warmth of life are cherished. This event coincides with an increase in day-length in the region.

On the occasion of the last night of autumn, families get together. This family reunion often takes place at the houses of elders where people meet around a  table called “Yaldā/Chella Night Sofrah”.
